What FSN is and is not
Before you decide whether to trust FSN with your family's story, you should know exactly what it claims and what it does not.
What FSN is
FSN helps a parent find support that may fit, and prepares the next step with the family information the parent has approved. It prepares; the parent decides. FSN does not invent family facts, make medical decisions, sign for you, or submit anything without your review.
What FSN is not
- FSN is not a medical provider.
- FSN is not a law firm.
- FSN is not a benefits adjudicator.
- FSN is not a financial adviser.
- FSN does not provide medical, legal, benefits, or financial advice, and it does not guarantee funding, eligibility, or any outcome. Programs make their own eligibility and award decisions.
No certification is claimed
FSN is not certified under HIPAA, FERPA, SOC 2, or any other framework, and it does not claim to comply with any of them. Professional legal, privacy, and security review is required before any regulated or public use, and an independent security review is required before FSN opens to families.
Nothing becomes your record without you
Information FSN suggests is only a suggestion: it becomes an approved fact when you approve it, and only approved information is reused in matches, applications and the Care Passport. FSN does not submit applications, sign, or confirm anything for you.
Where things stand today
- Synthetic information only. FSN is tested with invented families only. No real family information may be entered into it.
- Access is by invitation. FSN has not opened to families yet, and nothing on this website lets you sign up, sign in or upload anything.
- The legal documents are drafts. The privacy policy, terms of use and trust text are not approved and are not in effect yet. Each describes FSN's service and marks what is still to be decided.
- No payment is collected. Billing is not active, and nothing is charged.
- Accessibility. FSN's engineering target is WCAG 2.2 level AA. That is not a claim of conformance: FSN has not yet been tested by people who use assistive technology.
